Since his wife was the primary breadwinner and had been supporting him all this time why didn't he just continue to keep his mistress a secret, divorce his wife and apply for spousal support. Surely that would have been better than getting the only person bringing in a decent income fired so he could live with his minimum wage earning mistress, who everyone now thinks is his daughter. I guess it's lucky for his wife he was such a moron.
