So her father murdered five people to avenge her claim (at age 8) tgat the neighbor exposed himself to her. Will she ever come forwatd and say that she lied? What kind of a life must she be having now? Or is she sticking to her story? Sucks that she's the only one who knows the truth. If it wasn't true, I don't mind saying that I hope she's miserable.

No one really knows if she lied or not, I thought it was weird that the neighbors assumed she lied just cause she didn't act a certain way. There's no rules about how a victim should act. Not saying that the guy should have went nuts but I don't think it's safe to just assume she lied either just cause he got acquitted.

I wonder that as well since I would have loved to hear her side of things. Maybe they couldn't find her or something. I've been trying to search online but I've come up empty handed and only with other women with the same name

Thank you! I thought it was disgraceful that the neighbors just assumed that she was lying, because her future step mom had that feeling. This is why so many abused children don't want to come forward! Fear they won't be believed.

It’s very typical behavior of an 8 year old who’s beloved dad is giving his attention to a new woman, especially having to share with other children. It isn’t a “disgrace” she wasn’t believed. She was at first, until things didn’t add up. Too bad she can’t or won’t come forward and set the record straight. Children can be forgiven acting out. Once you’re an adult, it’s time to speak up.
That is the comment I was hoping to see. I get that kids will be kid, but when the new woman in his life is getting a little more attention it didn't sit right to well withvthe young lady. All this time it has been her and daddy, and now daddy is having or had to divide his time times four. This story was truly heartbreaking.
I don't think we will ever find out the truth if Sarah was abused or not.
I also really didn't like how people reacted to how she was acting as that was evidence of her not being abused.
If victims don't act exactly how you want them to act, then they weren't really victimized. This is part of the problem when it comes to abuse.
I really don't understand why her father didn't leave the neighborhood. I mean, if you honestly feel like someone has abused your daughter.. why would you still live there? Police officers make good money, I don't understand why he didn't just move.
Okay, I have no idea if it did or didn't happen. However, the fact that Sara had no problem with playing out front of her house where the man who she's says exposed himself to her could be watching from the windows would make me go "HMMMM!"
People saying that is what I have a problem with. Just cause you are a victim doesn't mean you should run and hide in your room all day. Something happened to me in high school and charges weren't even pressed against the guy, but that didn't mean I should have just not went to school and laugh and talk with my friends and participate in the extracurricular activities I did because the guy who did it went to the same school and was in some classes with me. It's weird that people think a victim should act a certain way.

I think people are just wondering if she stands by her story.
I could see her not wanting to talk about it either way. I can't say "if it were me..." because it isn't me, but if it did happen I wonder if a certain part of her would want to set the record straight.
I do remember at least one Michael Jackson accuser recanting. That's a pretty heavy burden on the conscience.
