Was wondering the same. Did the neighbor die? Did the main character get arrested? If so, did he plea self defense? The credits started rolling, and everyone watching groaned and said, "NO!!!"

HAH - funny to hear that feedback.
I assume he's dead and he will go to jail for manslaughter.
