no GOTG beat Suicide Squad because Marvel Studios was smart enough to secure A China release and WB wasn't.

lol I know it sounds good to say "Ummmm nope if Suicide Squad opened in china it would have won"

but the facts are thats 100% on the Studio....Its beyond inept for WB not to have secured A china release..

China is now the 2nd biggest Market for box office in the world, If you have A Tent Pole movie with A Huge Budget, It should be A MUST to Secure a release for it in China.

Marvel Studios understands this, thats why they literally go to extremes to secure releases for their films in China, Marvel Studios Literally cast Chinese Actors in key roles, Intentionally film in China and Partner with China on Films Just to make sure they secure release dates for their films.

WB did not do it with Suicide Suicide...it was beyond idiotic, You can't now Use WB's Incompetence as an excuse.

PS, another massive reason why Suicide Squad didn't get A China release date is Because WB did not have confidence in The Film in China...

BvS's Chinese box office Run was disastrous...The film Literally dropped 83% in its 2nd weekend(I've been following box office for 10 + years and thats the single most astonishing box office stat I've ever heard)

BvS literally had the worst Box Office drop In China in over A DECADE.

Basically BvS Literally had Poisonous Word of Mouth in China, So Awful Box office analysts are already predicting Justice League is DOOMED in China.

what I'm getting at is, WB was so alarmed by BvS's China box office run, They felt it wasn't worth getting A China release Date for Suicide Squad....Word of Mouth was so awful, The reception was so terrible toward BvS, WB was certain it would carry over to Suicide Squad.

Now whether they were right or not, who's knows...but thats on WB.

A. did not Prioritize A China Release for Suicide Squad, Things should have been done in pre production if Necessary, like Marvel Studios, you do whatever it takes to secure A China release...WB didn't.

B. They lost all hope and confidence in Suicide Squad once BvS Literally had Historic Drops in China, WB did not feel it was worth getting A release date after BvS's awful reception

But what your really pointing out is How Inept WB is...WB's failure to secure A China Release date is the story here.

Now Maybe if WB went all out and really tried to get a China release date but China was keeping them out for some unjust reason, Then ya you'd have a reason to Point out that Suicide Squad could have made more if it was release in China.

SS is quite literally one of the 5 worst superhero movies ever. If you thought GotG vol 2 would be on the level of the Ang Lee's Hulk, Ben Affleck's Daredevl, Nic Cage's Ghost Riders, you were obviously mistaken. Suicide Squad is undoubtedly on that level of shitty.
