I thought the father killed his son while he was asleep in bed, but later you see the son alive. What was that a dream? Anybody know what that was about?

It was a dream caused by whatever was haunting the house.

It was a dream but the movie would’ve been infinitely more interesting if the plot had actually taken that twist. Otherwise, it’s just a rehash of every ‘house with real estate agent devours innocent tenants’ movie I’ve seen.
