Historically inaccurate

In reality, British officers, not Danish ones, were in charge of the German mine clearers.
Also, the mine clearing operation itself was instigated by the British.

However, the filmmakers changed this to Danish officers in order to make the usual points about Danish xenophobia, nationalism and cruelty. They wanted to once again connect historical(?) events to the issue of today's mass immigration which many Danes are opposed to.

The same cultural marxist agenda was seen in "1864". Here, Danes once again had to see themselves represented unflatteringly in order to be guilted into accepting modern-day mass immigration and socialism.

Remember, these "historical" movies are funded by Danish taxpayers. Usually, a regime will fund propaganda movies in order to prop up support for itself. In Denmark, where non-government marxists are in control of the state's movie production funds, the propaganda has the goal of removing the nation state in favour of multicultural socialist utopia.

I just saw the movie and somehow didn't catch a message of Danes being xenophobical, nationalist and cruel.

But I did get the message that you might be a moron.

I'm with you, Karl Self.

SPOILER ALERT: I know that the chain of command in the film is primarily Danish, but it appears that they are assisting (or are assisted by) British soldiers. In the nighttime sequence where the soldiers arrive to abuse the German boys and appear to be raping or at least defecating on one of them, the men are speaking in English. so I left the film feeling that the British were at least somewhat responsible for what happens to the boys.

just a tip. spoiler alert should be in the subject line not in the text field.
as most people can read 4 lines instantly.

Here is an interview in Danish with producer Peter Aalbæk, who produced Lars von Trier's newer films:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcbGQ__VO64

In it, he discusses how the cultural Marxists in control of the state's movie production funds would never grant support to movies with dissenting views. They are especially against any form of libertarian, conservative or nationalist viewpoints, except if they are portrayed as bad or evil.

He also discusses the hypocritical standpoints of artists in general. Meaning they are all loud proponents for open borders and mass immigration from the 3rd world, but take care to isolate themselves from the foreigners in white neighbourhoods or choosing white private schools for their children.

That's probably true, as there were but a handful of Allied Danish officers. All the others went belly up or joined the Nazis right after their valiant six hour defense of their country in 1940.

Ah.. Obviously marxist and socialist infiltrators did that as well.
