It's more like a Manson-style home invasion than the movies' traditional charging, whooping Indians versus the brave pioneers firing their long rifles and dropping the circling warriors one by one.

Imagine you're sitting in your house with your family one dark night when a bunch of painted, long-haired freaky guys show up and demand to come in, then they break down the door and rape and kill and mutilate everyone. Could be on the Texas frontier of the 1840s, or it could be in a suburb of a modern American city.

This series shows that Comanche raids were far more similar to modern home invasion murders than the heroic standoffs we know from the old Westerns.

I thought the "native americans" were all living peacefully in prosperity before the evil white man arrived, and had no concept of war or violence?

Liberals are so stupid that they don't even realize their version of the story is impossible.

The first whites on the frontiers of North America were hunters and pathfinders, followed by settlers. These people were either solitary travelers or small family groups. How would they have the power or means to murder and enslave the Indigenous people? They were just trying to carve out a humble livelihood from the wilderness, and the Indians saw them as easy prey and murdered many of them. Just as they did to any weaker fellow Indian tribes they came in contact with.

The arrival of the Army and the warfare against the tribes was merely a reaction to the violence visited on the early settlers by the Indians.

I can't read something like this without hearing some insufferable leftist spitting in my ear about "well you invaded their land what did you expect". What land? They lived on that vast continent and did nothing. No concept of establishing a functioning society or building infrastructure.

I remember reading stories of indians roasting white children alive on open fires, i'm assuming that was an attack on settlers. So their savagery was met by a proper response, and they lost, and european settlers established the greatest civilisation the world has ever seen. What's the big deal?

sounds like an entertaining movie.. i'll give it a shot some time but unlike retards I won't actually think it's historical fact 😂. in all fairness a bunch of illegals came uninvited and set up camp they said we come in peace, now hundreds of years later, they rounded them up and threw the remaining few of them in reservations on less than 1% of the land they had before

reminds me of the story of the state of texas, for years the mexican government couldn't get a grip on the the illegal alien situation from the northern country, they flooded in like cockroaches and were tolerated, soon they outnumbered the native population, refused to assimilate, then eventually rose up overthrew the local government, declared independence and fought a war to steal the state/country for themselves (but now nearly hundreds of years they tell a different heroic tale that only adult children believe 🤣) i'm sure they now make movies how them evil mexicans raped and murdered them and all they wanted was to peacefully accept more land that their god gave them
