Did you like the ending?
Didn't like it at all. First I pray the unrated version has a different ending. But it probably won't.

shareI didn't like the ending and everything else before it.
shareDidn't hate it, but was a tiny bit underwhelmed by it. I still loved the movie though. Since Rob had to cut the movie not once, but 3 times for the R-rating I'm predicting the ultimate cut will be around roughly 2 hours.
shareWhen I first saw it at the theater, I was a bit underwhelmed by the ending. Not disappointed, but a little underwhelmed.
However, seeing it again last night, I'd say I think it fits perfectly. I love the ambiguity of it.
Absolute garbage. The only way to end it with maintaining the believability of 31 remaining secret from the public was Doom Head killing off Charly. He should have just killed her in the building with the puppets and ended there. What was the point of the time running out if he's just going to kill her afterwards?
The only upside of this ending (if we are to believe she survives) is we won't have to worry about her showing up as a ghost riding a white horse guiding Doom Head's destruction if there ends up being a sequel.
The ending was beyond awful. There was no final cat n mouse/confrontation btwn Charly and DoomHead. Literally the mandatory, classic outcome of every single slasher movie which is protagonist vs antagonist i.e. Nancy Vs Freddy, Sally Vs Leatherface n co., Laurie VS Michael Myers, etc. is completely left out of this movie lol
There's a reason why that formula is included in every slasher film. It's the best part! It's a no brainer. This was a massive ball drop on Zombie's part. I don't wanna hear anything about "he tried to be different". If you say that, your clearly a RZ fan more than a true horror fan. He clearly wasn't setting out to create a work of art. He pretty much said it himself in interviews. This was basically a throw-away, non thinking slasher film.
But this complete lack of climax came across as horrible writing by someone who has no clue how to construct a horror film. ( Not saying that's who RZ is, just saying that is what it felt like) It made no sense whatsoever and it was completely unsatisfying.
i hated the ending and most of what came before it. this really was a bad movie which is frustrating because it had so much potential.
shareI loved it ! gave me chills
shareI enjoyed the movie for the most part, but the ending seemed as if Rombie got bored directing and decided to turn the cameras off.
