So the director of Malignant passed on Conjuring 3 to direct this trash... WTF.
Which one do you think ended up being the better movie?
The Conjuring 3 = 6/10 (inferior but at least it was watchable)
Malignant = 2/10
i haven't seen the conjuring film. i'll catch it at some point, no doubt, but every review and response i've seen tells me that i should feel no pressing need to get to it sooner rather than later.

This was my ranking of Wan films. If I were to put Conjuring 3 in this list, it would between the two Insidious films.

Malignant is the better film. It's much more entertaining than Conjuring 3.

The Conjuring 3 was OK at best but a poor sequel to the previous 2 and definitely the most underwhelming one in the trilogy.
Malignant was a wild, crazy ride that was entertaining af! Neither of them were scary, but Malignant easily beats The Conjuring 3 by a country mile when it comes to entertainment value.
You can't really compare them in a sense - it's apples and oranges even though they are both in the Horror genre. Conjuring is a more serious movie whereas Malignant was more along the lines of The Cabin in the woods - part scary, part funny, part action-packed, over the top and absurd but definitely very memorable.
