Gross.

Seriously. Why?

WHY?

I wanted it to be Chase McNary! He's so so much cuter, and most of all, he's a REAL person! He's not always acting for the camera so we would have seen real emotions.

If not Chase, at least some decent human being, or... you know... new. Not same same guys just looking to hook-up and looks like a druggie. Gross.

There is no more surprise to explore about Nick. He's like damaged goods. And he's acting fake face is disgusting. If he changes his character, he's just being two-faced for the show now. I mean, he's been around the block soooo many times.

The show is becoming more and more pointless.

I saw a lot of people wanting nick for bachelor but I do not think it would happen and I wonder if some of that was out of pity.

The first two are bad. Really bad. But the third time he is charming. Actually he is so good he won the producers over and change The Bachelor for him in the last minute. (They told the original Bachelor he will wait for one year while he was boarding the plane to shoot.) I think Nick will get better the fourth time based on his performance on Bachelors on Paradise.

I honestly think he will make a good Bachelor! He has big opinions, an actual personality, and has a sense of humor. I for one am finally ready for him to finally find love so he never had to be on this show ever again! It's finally his chance not to be the second choice, he deserves love.

He has been in so many seasons his face practically scream DESPERATE ATTENTION. We're talking about so many seasons of making out with so many women here. I mean is it THAT difficult to find a fresh face worthy of this "role"? Like good guys next door, not second hand pretend actor looking to hook-up, i mean "looking for love".

We're talking about so many seasons of making out with so many women here.

I get that you don't like the guy and I won't try to talk you out of that opinion, but so far, Nick has made out with 3 or 4 women in this franchise: Andi, Kaitlyn, Jenn, and maybe Amanda (their date was so long ago that I don't remember how physical they were). So yeah, that number is about to go up thanks to his spot as the Bach, but you're acting like he's been making out with a full cast of women all along, and that's simply not true. He wasn't man whoring around in Paradise. He was interested in Amanda, and when it didn't work out he was single and never acted desperate to con a rose out of someone (unlike some people). Once he started things with Jenn, she was the only one on his radar.

Now maybe he'll turn out to be like Chris Soules who made out with almost every single one of his 30 contestants, but as of right now, Nick's count is not as ridiculous as you're making it sound.

Why oh why can't they manage to find someone NEW and interesting that doesn't seem all used up by the franchise already??

The producers aren't that dumb. They have inside knowledge of who potential contestants want to date and that I'm sure largely factors into their decision. 26 beautiful women need to want this man for it to work.

I like Nick a lot. He's funny and has matured since his first appearance. Chase was hot but sooo boring. Besides, some viewers dislike Nick so much, they might tune in hoping to see his quest for love backfire again, so it's the best of both worlds.

Nick is better than Luke, but I wish they would have cast someone brand new. Sick of the sloppy seconds all the time.

Chris Harrison has stated that he doesn't see the show ever picking a brand new person to be the Bachelor/ette again. He thinks the audience is more invested in someone they've seen get their heart broken. It makes sense - though why Brad Womack got a second shot when he was the break-er and not the break-ee baffles me. Same as picking past winners like Emily to be the Bachelorette. So, they even break their own "rules". But I don't see them going that route. The search takes too long and they have three shows a year to produce. It also affects the editing because they'd need to take more time to introduce the audience to the Bachelor. Better to pick someone that at least has a bit of an existing fan base and focus on introducing the contestants.

Agreed. The only time he wasn't boring was when he was involved in man-drama as the parrot on Alex's shoulder, and I didn't particularly like him in those moments. But with JoJo, he was as dry as the sahara.

Beyond disappointed! He is so gross....and he wears capris for freaking sake...seriously? I'll probably be skipping this coming season.

I was hoping for Chase too! I would have been glued to the screen. He's nice to look at for sure. ;P

I really like that he is the Bachelor. He's nice, honest, and has a good sense of humor. Chase was so boring I didn't know how he was until the last few episodes. He's cute, just...missing that thing you need to keep people interested. The "it" quality. Like it or not, Nick has the "it" factor.

Nick seems to have two sides to him. Did you read Andi's book? He was very x rated in the fantasy suite. Performed like it was a porn movie and talked about 'f---in' and 'su--in'. Don't you think that's a bit off a turn off?

Are we watching the same show? Nick's awesome. Hopeless romantic yet the voice of reason in most situations. I bet the season will be insanely good and includes many intriguing women, too. Can't wait!

This hopeless romantic is in his mid-30s, can't find a girl outside the show, been on so many shows I can't count. That's just scratching the surface. Yep, hopeless romantic indeed. Enjoy then.
