Probably the best movie I’ve seen in my entire life and hopefully it gets nominated for an Oscar.
Too bad audiences prefer dumbed down movies like ”Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” but hey....that’s just the way that the cookie crumbles.

shareYeah I'm gonna second furious here and say it's good but definitely not masterpiece status. If it does manage an oscar nod it will be for some technical aspect and not acting or directing (or best picture).

You remind me of Daisy Ridley who argues against Rey being written as a MarySue by giving the very arguments that make her character a MS. Only Ridley is not doing it for trolling.
That would be true if I thought the movie stunk but outright lied about it, but exaggerating isn’t really a crime now is it? What I’m doing is no different from the regulars who visit these boards and exaggerate how bad a particular movie is, either they are liars or they exaggerate a bit. Most likely the latter but I stand by my story that I’m a contrarian.

TV movie quality. It really watches like it was written in a hurry. And the directing is poor (which shocked me). And then there's the droid ...
