Remind me again why Solo was bad

It seems that even the most die hard SW fans are struggling to create a coherent argument as to why this movie sucked other then pointing to the box office.

I went into the movie assuming it would be mediocre but I gotta say that this was miles better than the prequels and made Rouge One look like amateur hour. It also will probably have more repeat value than Force Awakens or Last Jedi.

The more I think about it, this is probably the 2nd best of the franchise behind Empire.

I thought Solo was very good except for the SJW droid.

I'm not sure there are many people who say this movie sucks.

Most say that it is neither good nor bad - rather it's just uneventful...

Did you actually read feedback on this film or just come in all guns blazing?

reply

Uneventful? Please provide phone numbers to everyone who used this word or else I know you’re lying.

This is the best Star Wars movie since Empire and that’s a fact.

reply

Ahh lol, I get you now - suspected it as a troll topic.

Well done :D.

reply

I can remind you that it isnt bad at all but actually pretty good

reply

I thought it was okay. Not the best Star Wars movie but certainly not the worst.

Very simple No Harrison Ford. It is not James Bond movie where u can replace actors. No body wants to see some one else playing Han solo atleast for now. Just 2 years back Ford played him in TFA. Nobody wants to see a origin for Han. We love how he was in original along with Lando. The beauty of Star wars is a story where all these interesting characters come together and win against the Big Empire. You just cant go on making films for every character. Lucas knows it that is why he never made it. If he wanted to milk it he would have made it in 80's itself with Ford.
People just did not care about this movie and did not see it.

reply

I liked this movie just fine.

reply

Well for me I didn't even see it.

I had zero interest in seeing another actor play Han Solo. That role is only for Harrison Ford. I never had ANY interest in seeing a back story on Han, any interest in seeing anyone else play him and after the Last Jedi I don't really care to see any more Star Wars films. I think Disney has eff'd up the franchise.

reply

The movie wasn't bad (6/10) and Alden did a decent job at playing Han, but it was too much of an ensemble piece. Too much focus on other characters.

Yes, Disney has eff'd up the franchise and needs to do a clean sweep of the executives at Lucasfilm.
