The imdb rating has been TURNED OFF (fixing scores?)

A few hours ago it showed 5.4. Right now it's turned off. It seems they're cleaning non-bad-movies-inclusive votes XDDD

And this only happens with Soylo a Social Justice Wars Story. Other "coming soon" movies keep the rating on.

So it seems that not only Rotten Tomatoes plays the "I'm gonna fake the scores" game.

No shit Sherlock and all your idiot sock puppets. You cretins are the reason IMDb shut down the boards.

IMDb is finally cluing in. If they open rating/reviews two weeks before the public opening, of course you get fakes.

Like I posted yesterday, there are real reviews!
Metacritic: 66 from 30: http://www.metacritic.com/movie/solo-a-star-wars-story/critic-reviews

reply

The "critics". Thos idiots giving the worst Star Wars movie ever (as its now official) a 9 out of 10. Yep, surely some perfect source of information :) .

reply

Agree with them or not, at least the critics saw the movie before rating it.

reply

And so did most movie viewers.

reply

SUCH bullshit. They expected people to rate it high like they do with other movies that haven't been released yet, and they disabled it when that didn't happen. What a joke

reply

if you checked now, Solo is sponsored page, with Solo theme, so Disney paid for an interactive page. Amazon probably hid it because Disney is advertising on site. Not sure if Disney requested it or Amazon likes the ad money.

reply

Amazon sells movies! Indeed they hate reviews from real movie goers! Cause this only disturbs there profits!

reply

Lmao you’re such a fucking moron. They didn’t only remove the 1/10 ratings, they also removed the 10/10 ratings, why? Because 95% of those voters haven’t seen the movie.

reply

And how does IMDB know that they haven't seen the movie? And why don't they remove ALL the ratings for movies before release? The ones with high 9s? Oh, because they don't like the result when its negative, and have to sell the movie? Exactly.

reply

Yeah it’s all a huge conspiracy!1!

reply

Nice, just dismiss something by labeling it as a conspiracy. Ignore the fact that this actually happened... and I'm sorry you don't understand online marketing and how businesses actually operate.

Disney is doing a pre-release marketing campaign on IMDB, and you best believe they're going to be pissed and call them when the ratings are that low and affecting their ROI. If the ratings were in the 9s however, I guarantee they would still be up. It's not a conspiracy, it's simple marketing. You fucking goofball.

Oh, and as a private company IMDB has no obligation to keep the ratings up, but we however, have every right to point out what's going on and call bullshit.

reply

I am not sure of the reason but it hasn't been widely released yet so I am not sure why they were taking ratings already as that invites people to simply vote without seeing it. This will still happen later but at least it will be mixed in with many people that have actually seen the film.

I am not expecting a great film, the reviewers have been high on these new Disney films so its a bit concerning that they don't seem to love it. Of course that could be an indication its the best of the lot..so we will see.

reply

It's still turned off and tens of thousands have now seen the movie...
