Watching the first 4 seasons, Daniel sticks his nose into Strand's way of life. Its none of daniel's business anyway.
If Strand wants to live a so called shady life to survive thats Strand's business.
It dates back to Season 3, when Strand tells Daniel his daughter is alive & he knows where she is, only to finally find her & she's already died from a zombie bite. Daniel has never forgiven him for that.
