They killed off(spoilers).....
Nick!! Wtf
shareYeah that was the most random shit i've ever seen, same way they suddenly killed Travis in the 2nd episode of season 3. Is this a pattern now they kill off a main character at the start of every new season?
I guess bringing Morgan over along with John and Althea they had to trim some fat and slim the cast down, but i never dreamed Nick would be killed.
I'm fine with it, I know Nick is a fan favorite, but I've never cared for him. I feel like they'll be ending this show at the end of this or next season, and transplanting the survivors to the main show, before that ends. That's a motive for the crossover, and the screwy timelines. If I'm right, we'll probably see more main deaths this season.
shareThis show totally shot itself in the foot. Killing off all the main characters like they do gives you no base characters to care about. It's just a random show like a car with no driver.
I don't look forward to seeing it like TWD. It's just a generic mess to me. First Travis' son--then Travis himself. And now the mother's son Nick. Morgan just joined the show and they immediately kill off another original character where they're barely able to interact. This is too stupid.I wouldn't miss this show if it ends.
I agree about TWD..Killing off so many main characters for more shock value than purpose and then completely maiming the surviving characters has left TWD all but unwatchable.
Some people strangely complain when not enough people get killed...strange given TWD's history and the fact that new characters take so much time to truly invest in...if at all. Personally I'm getting sick of the trend..Some deaths are to be expected, yes...but not to the degree they've fallen back on this formula instead of writing a well written story. It's as if they can't develop a plot without a major death as a catalyst.
I had dropped FTWD in it's 2nd season and TWD in the middle of its last season...I was coming back to try FTWD because I'd heard such positive things about it...and the first thing it does is kill off the character I'd liked the most..hmm..
The only thing that might help me continue is that the actor had asked to be written off...so there's that.
It sort of looks to me that FTWD might be heading for some kind of complete reboot...especially if Madison turns out to be dead too...or maybe that's a red herring. But it looks like a huge possibility.
I don't have too much feeling toward the remaining characters...and Morgan and the 2 new characters are interesting..although Morgan is tiresome in his waffling back and forth toward the extremes of complete pacifist and murderous ninja.
But I'm not going to invest again in this show if it follows the pattern of only be able to move the plot forward by killing off major characters. These shows don't have the multi cast of something like GOT and they don't have the writers with the chops to pull it off.
I'm also fine with it. Nick's journey from urban drug addict to farmer was irritating, unrealistic, and plain confusing at times. Remember when the family was at Strand's compound and the pozole woman thought Nick was something extraordinarily special? You got the feeling the writers were going somewhere with that but, as far as I know, it went down in flames with the compound and it's those little start/stops this show does that make it confusing to watch. I've been monitoring these forums since the show started and the one consistent point that most people agree on is the show never was able to get the viewer invested in the main characters (with the exception of Daniel and maybe season two Strand).
When they axed Nick last night I wasn't shocked or saddened but I should have been. I was also indifferent when Travis was killed off but was soooo happy when Chris bit the dust. If Madison is dead and is only shown in flashbacks then so be it. Her ascent to supreme leader is baffling due to the incredible amount of bad decisions she's made over the course of the series. Being strong-willed and stupid is still being stupid but you just drag everyone in your orbit down with you and that's her character's major flaw. I guess the reason no one ever challenges her is because no one lives long enough to call her out.
Hope Madison is dead, can't stand her.
shareDillane requested to be killed off. You can't blame the writers for this one.
shareI think it's the bad writing that caused Dillane's desire to leave. Not too many actors request to leave a well-written show.
"I had been doing it for three or four years, the show has undergone many changes in terms of different people in charge, all of this stuff, and I just felt like the beginning of this season kind of felt like the end of an era with this show... I also felt like we had achieved what needed to be achieved in the first few seasons, so I thought it was time to keep moving."
Haven’t seen this episode yet but what’s the point of watching if they kill everyone off?, his mom and sister aren’t enough to keep me watching, I gave up on Walking Dead last season and guess I'll soon lose interest in this one too. A shame, I really enjoyed season three.
sharejust look at the flowers Nick
shareit really is too late for Nick...
shareyeah but he was killed in the future or present day of the Walking dead. Nick will still be in the show for the flashbacks... at least he is still there somewhat... i loved his character
