Can't trust the fanboys
Fanboys told me over and over to ignore the naysayers who weren't pleased with the 2014 film. They insisted it was awesome and 10X better than the Matthew Broderick movie and "hands down the BEST American Godzilla EVER!!!"
Then I saw the movie. It went downhill after Bryan Cranston died. The characters and plot were a boring waste of time after that. Godzilla got a 15 min. cameo IN HIS OWN MOVIE. It should have been called "MUTOs, with a Special Guest Appearance by Godzilla". Overall the "horrible" Matthew Broderick movie was slightly better-- at least it was entertaining and funny.
Now the fanboys are all over the internet posting glowing feedback about the 2019 Godzilla movie. They say we should ignore all naysayers who weren't pleased with the movie. They are instead claiming it is awesome and 10X better than the 2014 movie that they PREVIOUSLY claimed was awesome at the time. Now they say THIS movie is " "hands down the BEST American Godzilla EVER!!!"
Sorry, fanboys. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Leave Godzilla to Japan from now on. Thanks, Hollywood.
