It makes no sense if you take reality into account.
It makes perfect sense if you regard Kong as the representation of some straight man's subconsciousness or Id.
Blame that on white Hollywood. They think white women are god's gift to the world.

Black women and girls are frequently shown topless in documentaries but topless white women are censored. On game shows, large chested black women are frequently shown with their breasts bouncing up and down while they celebrate or move briskly, but 'bouncy' white women are often only shown from the shoulders up. A white girl goes missing and everyone goes bonkers. A white girl gets killed and everyone goes bonkers. A white girl makes an accusation of rape everyone really goes bonkers and can even start a nationwide movement. Meanwhile the same things happen to black or latino girls and it probably won't even make the news.

shareYou got me curious so I looked up the demographics and according to what I found; most viewers and most filmmakers are still white. But I agree filmmakers are pandering to different audiences today.
