sequel or no sequel?

I'm not sure if it will get one. It was a big bust at the box office. It was actually much better than I thought it was going to be, but the zord scenes stunk imo. However, I thought the characters were really well developed which was a surprise. I hope it gets a sequel, but I think it is up in the air right now. Hollywood loves sequels though so I am going to remain optimistic.

If it was released in 2016 or summer 2017 and not March 2017 things could've been different.

I didn't watch the film myself, by the time the original show came along I was too old and thought it was far too cheesy so spending exorbitant theater prices to see a film based on that foundation was not my thing. But I did notice this article the other day and thought you might be interested.

I wouldn't mind a sequel that took a cheesier, more self-mocking approach to make it closer to a pastiche of the original show.

I hope there is a sequel I loved this movie.
