Dutchie here, so I got to see the first showing and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed. They tried to bring back the atmosphere of the first movie with intrigues, backstabbing and more lore. They also tied some loose ends together.
The first one is still the best, but this one is way better than the previous films.
I personally think that Blood Wars sucks.

True but Michael is a big part of Selene's life. Without him, there is little appeal.
shareWhy is it close minded when someone cares more about story than the mindless action? I have no desire to watch the movie for that reason. I've seen Awakening only once and frankly that was one time too many. It wasn't Underworld to me. I love the story, history, characters etc. from the first 3 movies so much...I still have no clue what they were smoking when coming up with Awakening. This one doesn't look much different. Except the common theme of the new movies seems to be 'ditch or kill off the hybrids because they should be more badass then Selene and we can't have that'.

Yes. People tend to forgot that underworld has always been abt never-ending fight between vampire and lycan. Theyre back to their root and i couldnt be happier. But i hope 6th movie will be the end tho since no matter how much i love the franchise the plot cant be dragged on any longer.
