Should I skip this movie?
I loved parts 1 and 2, the rest of the series not so much. I even didn't buy movies 3 and 4 as DVDs.
So will I be very angry with myself if I go?
I have a choice - this or Allied but only 1 movie this week as I'm rather busy.
Which one?
I would still let Kate Beckinsale turn me into a vampire!

shareYes. I am the same, huge fan of 1 & 2 where 3 and 4 were just OK. This one is easily my least favorite and I will say is the "Force awakens" of the franchise ... a rehash of some dialogue (most notably "SHE MUST BE JUDGED") and plots from the previous films.
#4 seemed to bring us more into the modern world where this has a more #3 feel to it. If you do see it, set your expectations low and an extra helping of "suspension of disbelief".
It does have it's moments (the last 1/3 of the movie was on par with #4), but I can honestly say I enjoyed some other folks comments in the theater, in reaction to a couple scenes, more than I enjoyed the movie.
Has some better 'emotional' scenes than 3 and 4. But it does lack Michael being in it. They made it into an hour and half movie, which probably should have been more like a 2 hour and 15 minute movie. But as the sequels go, I rather enjoyed this one. But that is my opinion.
sharein my opinion BLOOD WARS (which i do like) is very close to EVOLUTION (quality/writing-wise). not as good as the 2nd film but close.
