I sense a very strong Resident Evil vibe here...

Her blood is the key, she has lost everything, the war rages on, tons of CGI, desolate landscapes, modern laboratories, humans caught in the middle...

Did I miss anything?

Even the style feels RE like. Both of these franchises have been on par for me though. Mediocre at best but they'll pass the time.

Probably because they're both no effort copy-paste cliche ridden franchises.

Are both female leads married to the director?

reply

Actually, yes. Not this specific director, but Len Wiseman, the director of the first few movies, and Kate Beckinsale have been married since the first Underworld.

Are we human because we gaze at the stars, or do we gaze at them because we are human?

Underworld is slightly better in my opinion...with "originality"; it created quite interesting mythology for itself; artistic value...Underworld movies look beautiful; it´s a B-movie but RE is "B-movieer" :D

reply

Let me tell you the difference.

Resident Evil movies are adaptations as well as betrayals of the source materials.

Underworld is original, not based on any video games or novels, combining traditional mythologies with modern science and action.

Try Blade 1-3

The two franchises have always had a symbiotic relationship.
