83 Minutes ......lost
Honestly - I have never seen such a pile of unadulterated poop in my
entire life of movie watching !

It took 83 minutes to kill a bunch of snot-faced millenials who I would have strangled in under one.
sharePure garbage. That 'realistic teen' talk is incredibly annoying. You know they're actors going off a script....so that kind of talk is just incredibly annoying. I'll say it again. Annoying!!
shareThis might be one of the worst "horror" movies i've ever seen !!! (and i've seen plenty of crappy films but this one is just so bad on so many levels !!!).
The worst part is that i wasn't expecting much of it at all, but was still sooooooooo bored and disappointed by the characters, the plot, the ending... everything seemed soooooo wrong ! And this was not scary AT ALL (although some people at my theater screamed at some point, but that might be for another reason ;-))
I just wanted those stupid characters to die as quickly and painfully as possible (and i was soooo disappointed by those crappy deaths by the way), after only 15 minutes, i didn't even care to know why the "killer" was "harassing" them on skype and making them play that stupid game...
I should have walked out of the theater instead of staying till the end ... such a waste of time !
And I just learned that they're planning on doing a sequel, I just hope that's a (bad) joke cause I don't see how some pointless movie like that could afford a sequel... and by the way, what could that be? some other retarded teenagers are on skype and some ghost tries to kill them?!! though... still don't understand how that can be rated almost 6 out of 10 (which is the exact same rate drag me to hell has...)!!!
Valaga....I agree completely. I couldn't have cared less about any of these people....when they died I didn't even care. In fact, I was happy to get rid of them, as they were so annoying. It was so completely pointless too. They all died, THE END. So what's Part II going to be....6 more teenagers killed, THE END? Well the movie couldn't have cost more than $10K to make, so I guess they figure they might as well.
shareWhile I feel this movie is a little over-hated (the characters are incredibly annoying, but it has an interesting concept and the acting is strong), I agree that the fact that it has a rating on par with Drag Me To Hell, one of the best horror movies I've ever seen with a proper good story and actual scares, is a disgrace.
shareLOVE Drag Me To Hell
share....YES, you can say that again JM! and again.....If these morons represent 'real' teens then God help the world - the kids ain't alright - It's about as low as it can go and that includes Universal for selling their souls for the gad awful dollar!
Only an empty headed space cadet could vouch for this pile of poop (with a capital S). Now what's that about a sequel? PLEASE, GET A LIFE, AN IDEA, A GOOD IDEA, ANYTHING BUT SPARE US ALL ANY MORE....Gimme back the 83 endless mins!
You watched a totally different film than me then. But I just watched it the other day and can't go on enough about it.
That they did this for the most part in ONE TAKE is pretty amazing, considering how many actions are being performed by the actors, and what has to be ready for them to cue off of for upcoming scenes, in which a plot development may NOT have been revealed to them causing them to have to improv on the spot to accommodate for the change in script.
That most have missed the integral point that there is NOTHING in this movie that proves the "victim" Laura Barns was actually a bully, or mean to people, and that the audience believes the accounts of 6 people who are all liars, and backstab eachother at a moment's notice. THAT'S good film making. Where half the audience is saying YEAH LAURA DESERVED WHAT SHE GOT, when all they are going off of are what 6 people say about her.THAT'S the power of the internet! THAT'S the horror of this tale. It's LORD OF THE FLIES. It's CARRIE. It's THE SHINING. You are believing the most narcissistic, selfish, backstabbing, abusive people on screen to inform you what a person was like. And you BELIEVED them. Even though every minute of this film shows you how much none of these people can be trusted. Even Mitch who is probably the most "innocent" of the 6 (Blaire, Val, Jess, Adam, Ken, Mitch) has betrayed one of them, only to be betrayed completely by two people he truly believed.
It's a beautiful movie because its point is not to make you jump in your seat. It's point is to make you THINK about how powerful a tool the internet is, and how some people use it to hurt, abuse, terrify, control and manipulate others. All while sitting in the comfort of their homes. And it got most of the audience, YOU, cheering that Laura did commit suicide, when all you had on her as a character, was from the mouths of liars. Or trying to figure out what was so bad about being filmed in a compromising position. Well the generation that did not have the internet sees the power of this film, because many of us didn't go running home to get our cameras when anyone we knew was passed out on the street. WE BROUGHT THEM HOME.
Well, some of us. But not people like the liars in this film who force the person to kill themselves by exploiting them at their weakest. Those are the monsters of society. You know. The people that say Laura deserved it. ;)
Brilliant. One of the best horror films in a long time.
Um, I don't think anyone is saying that Laura is the bad guy here. At no point does the film portray her as anything other than the victim. The characters said it, but no one in their right minds would believe them.
Second, virgin=/=innocent. Mitch is the least innocent of them all. He's the one who posted the video.
Even Blaire was more innocent. Who hasn't taken a picture or video that is embarrassing to a friend of theirs? That's harmless fun so long as you don't post it to the internet like Mitch did.
"Well the generation that did not have the internet sees the power of this film, because many of us didn't go running home to get our cameras when anyone we knew was passed out on the street." You're really old aren't you? No one has to run home to get their camera, we all carry one with us 24/7. Our phones take video recordings now.
There's no tension, none of the twists are surprising, you could predict the ending from the beginning and there was no reason to care about any of the characters. Even who was going to put down a finger in Never Have I Ever was obvious.
Boring. One of the worst films ever, doesn't even deserve the title of 'horror'

Because of your insights, I just changed my rating of this film from 4/10 to 5/10.
shareLoved this movie. Give it a 8/10.
shareStill better than any Marvel's movie. At least it got me hooked 'til the end. I couldn't even finish Avengers age of ultron in 3 days. Go figure.
What I really liked about this Unfriended movie is its realism with the chat's programs. I doubt they can type that fast, but was still far better than any computer's nerd cliche you get from others movies.
It wasn't as bad as I had been lead to believe but wasn't great either. The lack of scares was a shame.
shareI found it to be a good comedy :P
It was very funny to watch all the girls scream so much.
Happy girls are the prettiest - Audrey Hepburn
So that's why only ugly girls treat me badly
Unlike yourself, I really enjoyed this movie. It was unique where you'd take today's modern tech and something many young adults do as an activity, and turn it into a horror film. Far too much hate for it and something I'm looking forward to purchasing in the future.
