If this is more of an "art house" film who do you think will outshine the other? Brad or Angelina? They went toe-to-toe in Mr. and Mrs. Smith but that was an action film.. I'm thinking Ms. Ange might have a little one up on Brad... they're both great actors so I'm excited to see this develop :)
shareI am first and foremost an Angelina fan but Brad has the better CV, more iconic roles, more places where he has been stretched and more places where he has "rung the bell". Angie gets more love but I find myself waiting for someone to finally use all of her attributes to full advantage; to "get her". The closest she has come up with is Lisa from Girl Interrupted. She has had good roles and performed well or appropriate well (some roles like Wanted require more her presence than her acting) but aside from Lisa and Gia, where is her Jessie James, Early Grayce, Tyler Durden, Mickey O'Neil? They may not have won or even been put up for awards but they are iconic nevertheless and for me that is "ringing the bell". Maleficent comes close but even there there weren't enough "moments" in that film. I truly do hope SHE gets HERSELF with this small film of hers and gives us that moment(s)that other directors missed. And if not here than please, Brad, get your buddy David Fincher to work with her on Cleopatra!

Neither of them stand out from their contemporaries.
Natalie Portman is (a perfect 10) literally twice as good as Jolie (5 out of 10).
Colin Firth (a perfect 10) is literally twice as good as Brad Pitt (5 out of 10).
Please use DDL or Phoenix when using the 10 point scale....not Firth.

Pitt "5 out of 10"? Guess what, in 50 years from now Pitt's performances in "Fight Club", "Jesse James", "Snatch", "12 Monkeys" and "Tree Of Life" are going to be remembered more than anything Firth has done in his career.
Angie will surprise a lot of people in this movie. This is a Jolie/laurent full show. Pitt the weak link.

I would say they are on par,but I do feel like Brad Pitt has had more versatile roles. Angelina is good, and I think she has it in her to give incredible performances, but Bradd actually has done those roles, so I'll go with him.
