Were women aroused by his hip movements, or his member dangling under his pants? The trailer seems to want to tell us is that it's the contours of his penis that they were gasping for.

Elvis is known for his hip movements, hence the nickname “Elvis the Pelvis”. I don’t know why the camera is focusing on his dick in the trailers, maybe Baz has a crush on Elvis?

This is why I think Baz is deeply in the closet, no straight man would direct his movies (Moulin Rouge, Elvis, Romeo + Juliet) the way he does it.

He also directed Stictly Ballroom. Baz grew up in ballroom dancing, both his parents were ballroom dancers. A lot of straight guys who enjoy dancing and flash.

That was a big part of Elvis. So much so that certain TV shows would only film him from the waist up. He famously moved around his pinky finger in a performance where he was forbidden to do his kind of pelvis dance moves.

Yes. This was offensive. We all so Elvis videos. And all people do is they stare at his gorgeous face. He was so hot when he was young. But trailer keeps focusing on his crotch. It stupid and over the top.
