Giant looks like Sean Penn!

I thought he looked more like George W. Bush.

It doesn't really matter who the giant looks like, what matters is that the giant is unattractive.

We can go on and on and on and on about why this movie flopped, but the real reason is that the giant is ugly. It is not appealing on any level, to children or adults. They could have gone cute for kids or sexy for adults, but they just went ugly. On top of that he's old. On top of that he's flatulent. Nobody wants to see that.

Yes, the reason for the flop is really that shallow and superficial.
