There is a Mexican astronaut in this movie. How on earth did he pass the NASA exam? He didn’t even seem intelligent in the movie either, did he con his way on board that ship?

shareMartinez was Mexican American. He put forth the exterior of a clown. In the movie he's portrayed as an Air Force Officer and an extremely skilled pilot. So I would guess he's actually quite intelligent.
