Was my favorite by the end of the show.

He was wonderful in this. In fact, all the acting was first rate in my opinion. I was hoping they would reclaim George's character a bit as he always seemed to show tiny glimpses of humanity between his obnoxiousness.

His character was amazing.

IMO the best way to have a GREAT show or movie is to have a GREAT villain.
Spend the money on the bad guy.

That is true. Even truer is that a weak, by the numbers villain will ruin it.

Dude was one of the biggest whine-ass dicks in the history of television. But Farthing did play the role well.
