I thought I had read where Jane Fonda didn't have plastic surgeon, wrong. I think she does not even look like herself. Her voice is the only think I recognized. Lily on the other hand looks wonderful love her hair. Of course this is just my opinion but I think Lily looks way better than Jane's phony balony.

___Jane looks great, we should all look this good at nearly 80. However, she should keep her hands out of the shots, they are dead give aways of what her face does not say.
Jane Fonda has openly admitted plastic surgery. Hell, the last time she had a facelift, she announced it. She said she wanted to continue playing "glamorous grandmas." She looks great, her figure especially, but IMO should be careful because the one part of the face plastic surgery screws up is the mouth.
I noticed it was a wig (evident if you look closely at the brow line) and found myself wishing it weren't. ;) She looks like a goddess with that long graying hair.
I totally agree, it's just gorgeous and perfect and suits her so well. I just love watching her in interviews though, the short hair suits her as well, She's so smart and funny. I've learned a lot from her character quite frankly. Pun intended. I didn't know what Truvan throat singing was or vegetable tagine.
There is a sort of documentary on the 3rd disk of season one. Fonda and Tomlin are sitting around a table chatting with the man and woman who created the show. Lily Tomlin talks about having a wig made for the show. Jane Fonda tells her it should have it own agent. Lily confessed it was based on the woman creator's own hair which is long, free flowing and graying.
They all had a good time gossiping and talking about working together previously. Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin were in 9 to 5 and Lily was on West Wing with Martin Sheen for example.
They did say things were easier away from network TV. The woman creator said for instance on "Friends" they weren't allowed to show a condom wrapper on the air, for instance.
Jane Fonda is a good example of how to go about having plastic surgery. Normally I just don't believe in it with so many other alternatives these days (laser, microcurrent etc) because it feels desperate and it so often changes a persons appearance...but not in a good way. But actors gotta act and Jane Fonda really looks like she used it with some common sense. She looks great. If only some of these people 20, 30 and 40 years younger than her would take notes to not keep on keeping on or use her surgeon. And people really need to back off with the botox.
I agree she does look better as the series progresses...I watch a couple of later espisodes and she does look great and to me the series gets better. I really enjoyed watching last evening. ////////////////////////// It is not so much the destination as the journey!!!
I agree that Ms. Fonda is an excellent example of the best plastic surgery. My husband walked by the tv yesterday and cried out, "That can't be Jane Fonda! How old is she?" She looks fabulous and not distorted or phony like some do with ps.
