How is it "woke" to show stories which up to 20% of the population can relate to sexually and romantically, and 90% of the population should be able to relate to if they crawl out of their bigoted straight jacket?

it adds absolutely nothing to the show. remember how in the 90s gay productions would have two obvious fags on the cover so that anyone who wanted to see them would do it on purpose? now they mix it into normal media like a porn shop owner slipping in a tranny dvd in your porn stack in hopes it'll hook you. i didnt sign up to watch a story about the end of the world to spend an ENTIRE FUCKING EPISODE on two fags. at least make them pretty, two god damn old bears? jesus christ.

That is exactly how I felt about it. More forced diversity just for the sake of it. Pedro Pascal is apparently huge into the LGBT stuff so I bet it was his idea.

IMDB removes those negative or "homophobic" reviews anyway, so you would only see the most sanitised reviews criticising the episode.

Those reviews are definitely sanitised -- negative, sure, but I couldn't spot any "homophobic" reviews.

Well, no, any reviews that start throwing hatred at LGBT people likely violate the TOS of IMDB.

But there are still plenty of negative reviews.

I regarded it as like a 6 out of 10.

I don't see why not? Let users filter out reviews based on things they find offensive. This way people can say what they honestly feel instead of having to tip toe around other people's feelings.

Most sites have terms of services where they disallow sexist, racist, homophobic etc hatred. This is normal. Not every site wants to be moviechat or 4chan.
