Any clues to whom is the father?

Anyone notice any clues to whom is the father of Malina and Nathan/Tommy?

I tried to find a power link, yes not all powers in a family line are related, but its worth investigation.

Nathan/Tommy obviously has a similar ability to his great uncle Peter, who had empathic mimicry and later ability replication - that was limited to one power at a time, and his great-grandfather Arthur who had permanent ability absorption, so that explains him.

Malina has the ability to control the elements, at first glance it completely unrelated to any of her familys powers, so could that be a clue to who her father is? Maybe - but her great-great-grandfather Mr shaw had the power of seismic burst - possibly related to an earth or air related power? and her great-grandmothers sister Alice has the power to control the weather. Malina has already shown the ability to summon wind, and manipulate the northern lights, so her ability is a much much stronger ability related to her ancestors.

So theres still no proof of who her and Nathan's father is. Any ideas?

Highly highly unlikely but Adam Monroe (Takezo Kensei) would be the perfect one to slot into the role of the father. His ability, a variation of claire's makes him a viable if unlikely candidate. With him as the father and claire as the mother, Nathan gets the dorment power stealing genes that claire has from nathan, and melina gets a variation of adam's power bringing life, which could also be a direct power from his relatives as his ancestry is one of the least known.

reply

Adam Monroe????? NO WAY!

As for the father, chances are it is no one from the original season. Syler was the only one they ever hinted anything like this. She did have a boyfriend at one point but no one who would ever be taken to these series with. My guess is at one point they reveal the father, but he is a new character.

Adam Monroe was put in a grave by Hiro so he would never escape. It's unlikely that he's the father.

If you consider the relatives then Peter should have Claire should either have gotten premonition or the flying ability.

Peter had the power where he could copy somebody else's powers. Nathan was able to fly.

reply

Nathan's power was artificial. He wasn't born with powers.

reply

That was not Adam Monroe's fate. Did you not watch the entirety of the first series? Anyway, Nathan's power makes sense, as it is similar to both Peter Patrelli and Arthur Patrelli.

reply

We were told "He's a Petrelli." Since Claire isn't, that makes him his father either Peter or a previously unknown character.

reply

Claire is the illegitimate daughter of Nathan Petrelli.

Claire's father by blood is Nathan Petrelli. That makes Peter her uncle by blood. So I doubt very seriously the father is Peter. LOL.

Claire is a Petrelli, shes the daughter of Nathan Petrelli and Meridith Gordon.

reply

Since Claire isn't

She is.

Claire's real mother had the ability to control Fire, so that elemental ability factors into Malina's power.

It's a long shot, but what about Samuel (the carnival guy)? He had a temporal/ earth shifting ability. Also, he would've been supportive of Claire exposing herself to the world.

reply

Yeah good shout. Weather control from Alice, plus fire from Meridith.

reply

Claire's mom DID have the ability to control fire.. and so did her moms brother? wasn't he called the German ?So maybe fire or elemental powers ran strong on Claire's mom side.

His name is Flint Jr, He had blue flames, while Meridith had the regular kind.

The German was a different character, he had glasses and was obvioustly German, he could manipulate magnetic fields (like Magneto)

reply

Oh thank you thank you!
But that was indeed her brother right ?
He just had the hotter flames...

reply

Yes Flint and Meredith are brother and sister. Hers were regular flames, and his were blue and therefor hotter.
Also an interesting side note - Meredith was immune to the effects of her powers - she couldn't be burned and was even immune to her power burning all the oxygen out of a room and heating the metal container (which caused Claire to be burnt from touching the metal and be suffocated by the lack of oxygen), while Flint was not immune to the effects of his powers and seemed to have perished in a fire of his own making (which Meredith had her own experience of and survived - Claire also survived because of her regeneration ability)

reply

Nope. according to the comics, Flint was on the s3v4 plane died after surviving the crash when he ran into a sniper.

If the father is someone that is going or was in the series i'd probably bet it's one of the evos we don't have a background history yet but have been recurring appearance in some part. I'd probably put my money on the invisible guy that was shown in the first episode during odessa and that later was being followed by police.

reply

It could be a random guy, or Evo for all we know. It's been (4) years.

reply

Yeah i was thinking about that guy earlier. Im thinking he has to be significant in some way.

reply

"who," not "whom"

reply

Does it really matter? I highly doubt well ever find out, since it of zero relevance

Sylar 

I used to be indecisive. Now, I'm not so sure.

reply

Haven't seen anything that I'd call a clue but I agree with other posters that it will probably be someone we haven't seen yet, rather than someone from the original show.
Hell, the way this show works it wouldn't surprise me if they went for an immaculate conception.
