Im gonna miss this show so much and im so happy they told us what happened to them after. This was a really great show
shareI especially liked how they handled Trudy. Although the exact historicity of how Al got his mission and Gordo lost his wasn't accurate, I like that they made it clear that Gordo boned his way out of his chances to go to the moon. (I'd forgotten about his treasure hunting escapades.) It made the motivation for Trudy leaving Gordo in the end more justified. Does anyone know what business Trudy went into, as referenced, after she divorced him?
I wonder where they got the Daytona-nose Superbird for the garage scene with Gordo. Those are rare cars.
Trudy went into the charter flight business. She was a pilot and loved flying.
This was a great series. I was very disappointed that they moved things along so quickly. I think they should have spent season 1 on Mercury, Season 2 on Gemini, and season 3 on Apollo. I didn't realize at first that this was a mini-series. Thought it was going to continue.
Oh, you're right. I was fooled by "Max"'s accent. I thought he said "career business" instead of "courier business." The latter makes perfect sense.
shareThat would have been great alright, 3 series one on each of the programmes. They ran thru the apollo programme very quickly in the end. Didnt realise it was a mini series to start with but as they started going through the years quicky i realised this wasnt going to run for years and years, pity, good series
