I truly think Statham would improve any mission impossible film or jack reacher or James Bond. But all his films struggle with script, just got bafflingly dumb things happen and we laugh and enjoy them as they are but they could be brilliant action films too.

shareI can't believe he kept turning down the Hitman roles because he wanted the Transporter series to flourish as a franchise.
I hate to say it but he's an idiot for making that decision. The Hitman movies could have been awful (even with him in it) but he would have really shined as Agent 47. He was made for that role and he knows both his hardware and how to beat the crap out of people. It would have been great.
Vin Diesel worked really hard to get Statham for the Hitman movies but for some reason the guy just wants to bask in mediocrity.
Safe had a good script and budget and was a damn good movie.
