So this is a movie you take your daughter to but not your sons?

I can't imagine a young boy liking this movie...Seems very girly

Nice b8, m8.

Catch me when you can, Mishter Lusk.

It's not bait. This is a young Hawaiian princess...Zootopia was gender neutral and big hero six was more for the boys. I think this is a movie for the younger girls.

reply

Perhaps - I saw a fair amount of boys in our cinema, however; it was my youngest brothers who called me to pick them up and take them to see it, as well, not my sisters. 

There were more than enough "boyish elements" to keep them entertained - the entirety of Maui's character saw to that.

Catch me when you can, Mishter Lusk.

reply

I think Dwayne Johnson's character would be a draw for young boys.

I never really sleep well. Got one eye open, always.

I'm a 25 year old male who loved it. And there was a guy behind me there by himself, and he seemed to enjoy it as well.

Moana is neither Hawaiian, nor a princess.

Took my 3 boys to it last night and they all loved it. It's a very fun adventure movie not too girly at all

reply

Probably something like the Princess Bride, superficially girly but in reality a good dose of action (haven't seen Moana yet).

reply

Something like that.

reply

Did...did you not notice the large and beweaponed male demi-god on the poster?

reply

Are you kidding me?! I have two nephews that are 4 and 6 years old, and they love Disney Princess movies!

You really need to get with the times, and teach your sons that not all female-oriented media cater to girls only. That's like saying little girls shouldn't be allowed to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or the Star Wars films. 

reply

Amen.

reply

Relax, your little He-Man won't turn gay...

reply

You trolling right now? How many boys went and saw Tangled and Frozen?

The villainy you teach me I will execute-and it shall go hard but I will better the instruction.

reply

A movie having a female protagonist does not make it girly. It just makes it a movie with a female protagonist.

When I saw it, there were several young boys in the theater and they all loved it.

And a Strawman doesn't make an argument. He didn't say that it's because of the female protagonist, you feminist snowflake.
