Would Walt approve of this movie?

It seems weird to have a Disney movie with a heavily-tattooed, obese character in it.

I wonder whether Walt would approve.

"Lawnmower Man's in your head now..."

reply

I don't see why he wouldn't, as it is culturally appropriate.

reply

I do not see why he wouldn't. From the info I know Walt wanted the Jungle Book produced. And if he lived longer and got his way the cartoon would have been different in some ways (having Mowgli stay in the Jungle). The new live action version actually decided to end the way Walt originally dreamed it. Walt also wanted to put James Baskett up for best actor. James did get a honorary award (sadly he was pushed aside due to the times he lived in). I say this as a conservative person who supports libertarians ect.

reply

I don't see why not. The tattoos were part of their culture.

reply

No. Disney hated non-whites.

reply

I don't think it matters. Walt Disney lived in a different age, culture and century.

reply

So, you're another one of those people who have no respect for the wisdom of that era?? Sad.

Get off your soapbox while I play you a tune on the tiniest violin.

reply

I did not say that at all. You are very quick to jump to the wrong conclusions and to judge people based on your false assumptions.
Although you are free of course to express your opinion.

Thornspike, LukeLovesFilm28 is a mentally unstable freak who said that women enjoyed getting raped in the old days.

reply

Seriously? Ewwwww!

Shall I tell you what's more disturbing about him? He even said this:

It's called ignorance, dumbass. If they don't know it's rape, it's only rape by our standards. Like tomorrow, feminists might come up with a whole new definition for rape... like the male gaze. The point is women set standards and create weasels like you, judging people based on ignorance.

Here, he's saying that it's women who set the standard of rape, so basically, according to him, if women didn't set those standards, forced sex is not a rape.

reply

And you're still judging male on female relations by our modern standards. If they don't know any better, they don't know any better. It's that's simple. Moron.

In other words, you basically want forcing women into having sex to become legal.

reply

Moron.
Ok, then - we must be wrong because you called us a name!

reply

I bet anything you and Block-Busted have never actually had sex with someone of the opposite sex... or anyone.

reply

I'm sorry, but saying that women enjoyed sex whether it's rape or not says a lot about you.

Because then we couldn't possibly be grossed out by your attitude! Right. Sorry, kiddo. This is exactly the type of comeback I would expect from an immature adolescent who is insecure about his masculinity. Not having sex, or possibly being gay, is the ultimate fear of such a young mind. How old are you?

reply

It's almost as if LukeLovesFilm28 believes that forcing women into having sex is something to be proud of.

I hope that's not the case, but things that he has been saying suggests that something is seriously wrong with this guy.

reply

If they paid him enough. Like the critics.

reply

You mean the man who took any story and warped into a fairytale to make bank? No, I don't think he'd particularly care.

reply

I don't think Walt would've liked anything made after Great Mouse Detective, TBH (Beauty and the Beast being a possible exception). I'm not bashing on those movies, but he had his own idea of what animation should be, and most of the stuff being made today doesn't match it.

Can you elaborate?
