I saw the first season. I was OK, but Bosch, Welliver seems to be losing track of his acting, and he is getting dumpier and dumpier that they try to hide with camera angles and trusses I guess. Welliver has gotten fat and happy and doesn't seem to really put the work and gravitas he used to into playing Harry Bosch, Hieronymus Bosch. I always wondered what was with his name, and who would name a son Hieronymus, especially if she was a prostitute. That whole part of the story seems to make it obvious that the series only pays lip service to that bizarre story of this character.

I don't know, I've never read the books, but while I mostly liked the first few seasons, it's gotten so weird now I don't know what to think. Welliver is just about scribble over with all those tattoos, but they do have some good characters that it would be good if they would utilize more. Now he's getting fat and waddles through the show.

Hieronymus Bosch was a Dutch/Netherlandish painter from Brabant. He is one of the most notable representatives of the Early Netherlandish painting school. His work, generally oil on oak wood, mainly contains fantastic illustrations of religious concepts and narratives.
