Tom Hanks Cameo

Did anyone else notice that the officer that almost stepped on Phillipe's accomplice but then was called to eat pizza sounded a lot like Tom Hanks?

reply

It was definitely not Tom Hanks.

reply

You did not think it sounded just like tom Hanks?

reply

I definitely thought the same thing.

reply

I think it was Hanks voice.

reply

I thought the same thing too. Turned to my partner and said "That's Tom Hanks!" all excited!

reply

It was 100% Tom Hanks. He had an uncredited cameo. Him and Zemekis are really good friends.

reply

Where did you read this? I've googled it to death.

reply

Really!? Wow, now you just left me very curious! I just watched the movie today, and missed this!
To be honest I was so focused on the security guard not finding the guy hiding at his feet, that I totally missed it, and payed no attention to the guy's voice.
Aw and I'm such a huge fan of Tom Hanks.
Is there a clip of this scene out there, just to check it? That would be so wonderful.

reply

No I didn't notice that, but I definitely thought I saw Shia Labeouf at one point!
When Annie yells for everyone to look up at the man walking on the wire, that first hippie looking guy behind her who joins her... I could have sworn that was him

THIS IS EASILY FIXED!

The walkie talkie pepperoni pizza guy was a GUARD, not a cop (he was not wearing police uniform and had had no weapon), the same guard who was sleeping in a chair on the floor under the roof. It's hard to hear what name his colleuge is calling him by, but sure; it SOUNDS like "Noborsky" (Tom Hanks's main caracter from "The Terminal"), and his voice sounds similar to Hanks's. But not spot on though.

On the IMDB "Full Cast & Crew"-page there are two references to guards: the LOBBY GUARD, whom we can exclude. The other one is the ROOFTOP GUARD, and the actor playing him is named Doug Price, NOT Tom Hanks.

Though, Tom Hanks MAY STILL BE Doug Price, pherhaps in a more elaborate plan to keep his "cameo" as mystical as possible, who knows... But the dude didn't even move his body at all like Tom Hanks do. So I'm pretty sure that Doug is the pizza guy.

The line was ADR-ed, that's for sure, and it sounds a lot like him, but I'm not 100% sure.
