did the showrunners ever say
In an interview or anything, what would've happened in Season 2?
shareLoved this show when it was on; it wasn't perfect, but it wasn't quite like anything else on TV and was only loosely based on the Ray Bradbury story which inspired it. So where they go from that cliffhanger ending is far from clear. There have been several attempts to revive it since it went off the air in 2015.
Obviously the kids are in their mid-teens now so you'd have to pick up several years later or recast the roles. But unless Netflix gets enough views of season 1 to acquire the full rights from ABC and do season 2 themselves (and the odds are against that) I don't think it's going to happen. Unfortunately. They'd be entering new territory that Bradbury never covered. I really wish we could see what the show's creators had up their sleeves. But I'm not aware of any interview, convention, or talk show appearance where they discussed those plans. Sorry.
