If you haven't seen the movie stop reading............ So what the heck? His wife turns out to be alive. So when the doctor comes into the waiting room to talk to Nichols Cage and shakes head in sorrow, that told me tha she didn't survive. So what did I miss?

Yeah, point 2 bothered me a lot. The whole movie was pretty bad, but the ending was terrible.
