Ehhh. It's easy to forget that reporters are just folks too. Who knows what the full conversation was, the context, when it was said, etc. It's easy to make something like this look like Dorff "went after" her. These people look for quotes Just like this, to provoke reactions Just like this.

Uh oh, he criticized a superhero movie. Can’t do that, especially at the expense of Marvel, and not just Marvel, a female led Marvel movie. The comic book nerds are going to eat him alive. They turned on and bashed the hell out of Martin Scorsese, a living legend who’s made several films that are a hundred times better than the best Marvel movie, for ripping on superhero movies…I can only imagine what they’re going to say about someone like Stephen Dorff. The Twitter dipshits will have a field day. 🤣
