This needs to continue
this was really good. very creative. continue this please.
shareVery well made, very well acted and well written with very little known actors. The guy that seemed like the bad guy at first, I have seen in many shows, including Fringe, X files among others...

It was a pilot, and apparently it did not do well in the ratings. I had never heard of it or I would have watched it when it was aired. Also apparently, I was not alone because it appears to have been cancelled as most of the Sci-Fi that I enjoy is.
For example, Fringe. I loved that show and IT didn't last...while STUPID Sitcoms do.

Thanks...I wonder why?

Me too! SAVE PARALLELS!!! The story ended too abruptly and with too many questions about the nature of the building and the core reality's technology that made it possible. Did the building splinter the first time it transitioned to a parallels earth? And did it splinter again and again -- exponentially -- each successive time it passes into another earth? Tinker might still be alive on the elevator and just needs medical help. Did he find out why it was necessary to nuke his world? Or if he did die does he also have a doppelganger that co-exists with similar goals or agenda that might also be trying to blow up the building? He certainly knew enough about the building to hack it as quickly as he did which suggests that he knew more than he was letting on. His story certainly wouldn't have ended with his death -- possibly a red herring to divert our attention with a cliff hanger and to introduce the next act. He might come back and disclose more info. Stories of this kind often involve characters that disclose important details only after they've been forced or only as a last resort. In other words the info is disclosed when it's most needed to advance the plot. Finally, I watched a half finished movie that left more questions than it answered which is a disappointment. It piqued my interest and I'm sad that, yet again, I've been duped to watch something entertaining that will never satisfy my sense of closure.
sharefringe completely went overboard with sillyness for the last 2 or 3 seasons. i am surprised it even went on that long. loved it at the beginning, but almost felt insulted towards the end.
shareFringe ended simply because the overall story arc was completed - the overarching storylines & the finale were all plotted out before they ever started filming the show (Abrams had learned from the haphazard development of 'Lost' apparently) that's a fairly unique approach in US television series.
Generally in the US a series is either flogged to death and jumps the shark, or is cancelled while still incomplete in the US from what I've seen.
Parallels was a pretty decent pilot, well worth committing to a series I would have thought (especially given some of the junk they do green-light!). Not very different from Sliders conceptually but that isn't the worst thing in the world.
Man I hope they do. Sliders was great and this reminds me of a modern version of, only better and less wooden acting.
shareYeah, I want more. Fascinating serie.

shareI stumbled across it last night.
I enjoyed it. I'm not holding out much hope but I would like to see it continue.
I understand it's not too original - but it has modern special effects and a decent cast. And that's better than past shows of this type where it was poor special effects that relied heavily on a cast - who sometimes weren't up to carrying the show.
