'Sliders' anyone?

I just watched it on Netflix. For a low-budget pilot, it's okay, but no more than that.

The tech used reminded me of 'Fringe' (which had an parallel universe) and as the story continued, i felt i watched another episode of the 90's series 'Sliders' with a main cast of 4 and a companion (who now is played by 'dad').

Sure: cliffhangers are very well executed nowadays, but the originality, the story itself, it all has been seen before.

Yea, instantly thought about Sliders I used to watch in the 90's but with maybe a little better CGI.

Fan of Sliders, but it was mostly comedy.

I loved early Sliders to death, but Peckinpaw and Kari Wuhrer just trashed it later on. It was over once Prof. Arthuro died. He was the soul of the show.

Most of season 1 and 2 are among my favourite sci-fi television, bar a few stinky exceptions. (like the ridiculous matriarchy episode that was just a preachy load of garbage)

I really enjoyed Parallels because it really did remind me of a updated version of Sliders. I would really like it if someone picked this show up. I've also been waiting for a reboot of some kind to Sliders, and this movie seems like it's it.

Also what if these guys found the original real Sliders? 15 years later on alternate Earths individually? I'm sure they could put in a plot where the real Quinn, Prof. Arturo, and Wade are not dead. That would be interesting.

Also Caribbean, i'm with you on the 1 & 2 seasons of Sliders. Great sci-fi television.
