Takes up time on the show. "The Tonight Show" ended when Carson left. So it's since then just been trying to find ways of filling the 42 minutes (one hour less commercials).
It's all just random celebrities selling whatever product they're involved in at the moment. I likely don't care about that product they're selling, and I definitely don't care about their lives.
