3rd Season 1st Episode - Sarah Lancashire, a gem....

This is one of those roles that somehow creators found the perfect actor for the lead character.

Sarah Lancashire is a gem in this role and breathes such believability into her character and should be more highly recognized for this role.

I've been going back and re-watching the first two seasons and she just blasts it right out of the park.

Couldn’t agree more, she’s brilliant and as you said it’s the perfect marriage between an actor and a role, one of the best characters from a British series, right up there with the likes of Cillian Murphy in Peaky Blinders, Robbie Coltrane in Cracker and Helen Mirren in Prime Suspect
