This is so going to bomb

BFG, based on a better known but with a more famous director, bombed. Pete's Dragon hasn't done anything special either. And this is PG-13 when teens won't be interested in this.

Well yeah, it may bomb, but I don't think it's gonna be a bad movie. October isn't really a good month this year for movies, so who knows really. I think it'll make 20-30 million opening week, but that's really it. I read the book (and I'm a teen) and it is really amazing. This director is really good too. The impossible is one of the greatest disaster movies out there.

reply

I doubt it. For those who have red the book are gonna love it.
I really thing it's gonna get an average 7 once the movie goes further in the months.

Its recent push to a December release (with wide expansion in January) suggests heavy award consideration. That alone should raise awareness and get people into the theater.

Not in my country, here is going to be a big hit ~

Steven Speilberg, while great, is no longer that reliable.
J.A.Bayona's two films I both loved, and this looks to be his best so far.

This film is an adult drama with a metaphorical fiction component.

BFG and Pete's Dragon are children's fantasies.

Are you kidding?!?! Have you ever even read the book?? It's haunting, emotional, and beautiful. This movie will be absolutely amazing. 😜

Well teens like you perhaps.

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.
