Given what we know about Alejandro, would he have actually pulled the trigger?

We know that the death/murder of his daughter struck him like a bolt of lightening, for better/worse. As it would anyone, but let’s stay relative to Alejandro.

We know that he cares deeply about Kate, the man sees his daughter in her for Pete’s sake….

He saved her life, yes it was done opportunistically, but I believe the act imprinted itself onto Alejandro and tied her to him, especially as it relates to his feelings about his late daughter.

Had Kate not signed the document do you think he would go so far as to re-traumatize himself by murdering this symbolic representation of his daughter in such a vicious and cold blooded manner?
