If these films are just fluff, theny why are they so overlong?
OK, so the TF movies are obviously made to keep you entertained for a while, and most people agree that they aren't made to "think a lot" while you are watching them, even if you like them.
Which begs the question, why do most of them last for at least 2 and a half hours?
Shouldn't a movie that just wants to offer action and explosions be relatively short?
Instead, all the TF sequels have a somewhat overlong setup, for an even more overlong climax. Seriously, every time I watched any TF movie (except the first one) the final battle becomes dull since they go way longer than an action sequence should go.
Mybe I see something that most people don't see because I studied movie editing for a few semesters, but I still find odd that Michael Bay wants to give people a 3 hour movie for an audience that isn't asking for a movie with that runtime.
