So they say he may appear in the next Spider-Man

If so, and it is indeed this incarnation, haven't we just been screwed for the 12 seasons of the Netflix MCU? We went in with the promise that these shows were in the MCU, and of course there were references in the first season of Daredevil to the attack on New York and at least to Thor. Really don't remember if there were any more or not. But that's it. Small references at the beginning. A little Hammer tech in the first season of Luke Cage. Nothing else connected from these shows or from the movies. No reference to anything major happening with the Avengers. No Sokovia accords discussions. No Iron Man showing up to talk with Luke Cage after he was seen doing his thing and got famous. Hell, no visit to any of these super powered people from the agents of SHIELD either (which that show is in the same boat. Definitely connected to the movies at first, and then went off on its own with no ramifications from either entity on the other). No snap. So why now? It'll really feel like the shows never mattered if they include a character FROM the shows. Fine, Captain America isn't going to show up on a Netflix show to ask Luke Cage and Iron Fist to help him fight Iron Man in Civil War and I get that, but at least talk more about the events of the movies or even give the Defenders and the Punisher a damn portal to come through at the end of Endgame. Sure that will just make us question the limited connections before, but at least it's something. Now if this Daredevil shows up in the next Spider-Man, that would've just made us question even more, like why didn't they get a portal at the end of Endgame! I'm almost wishing the shows weren't even made. Should have just saved the characters for the next phase of movies rather than giving us the Eternals and Shang-Chi which are even farther down the list. Lots of people are having a hard time caring about the MCU after Endgame, and I feel like bigger named characters like Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and the Punisher would have been better to keep us interested after that monumental close to the Thanos arc.

Charlie Cox says he won't reprise his Daredevil role in Spider-Man 3

"I hadn't heard those rumors, but it's certainly not with my Daredevil. I'm not involved in it," Cox tells ComicBook.com, debunking a rumor started by Kevin Smith. "If that's true, it's not with me. It's with another actor."
