shareI just find it completely unacceptable for a major action title to not use blood squibs.
CGI blood was the worst thing to happen to action films.
What? Was corn syrup and some red dye going to break the budget? Maybe cut out a single CGI'ed explosion and there's your budget.
I'll give the director credit, however. The hidden takes on the SAS charge down the street were well done. That was a well choreographed sequence, and the cuts were well disguised when he jumps through the smokey window.
Right then to all of the people saying about CGI etc....go and do a better job then.
Yes you are entitled to your view but do some of you have any idea how hard it is to make a film?
"oh cgi cgi cgi..." it was an action movie romp...,mindless good fun and you are worried about air disturbance and dust particles...for pities sake.
Do they still use squibs...I thought there had been a thing against them hence the cgi blood.
Lots of lower budget--but better made--films use squibs.
Did you even read my post though? If you're going to reply to it, maybe you shouldn't spend all but one line railing against things I never said.
Don't give a *beep* about dust particles and air disturbance, I just flippin' hate CGI blood.
