Strange casting choices.
Firstly the ages of the sisters at the start of the book compared to the actors in this film:
Meg 16 - Emma Watson 28
Jo 15 - Saoirse Ronan 24
Amy 13 - Florence Pugh 22
Beth 12 - Eliza Scanlen 19
Of course it's easier to have older actresses to work with but these age differences were too large. Florence Pugh was depicted as being naughty in class as though she was 13 but in reality she was a very mature 22. Just ridiculous.
Timothee Chalamet - This is the first thing I have seen him in and he is undoubtedly a good actor but he is not what you would describe as a manly man. Too skinny and too effeminate.
Chris Cooper - Will always be the creepy and sinister Conklin from the Jason Bourne films to me. How anyone could think he was appropriate casting for the kindly old Mr Laurence is beyond me.
Bob Odenkirk - Better Call Saul for Mr March !? Really !? I kept expecting him to start coming out with the trademark Saul Goodman wisecracks.
