Cruelty to animals

A circus bear? Vincent Cassel kicking a peacock? Shame on the whole cast of the movie. Nothing of your past and future work would justify the way you treat the animals. You've just lost a viewer and won a mean critic.

No love for the Sea Monster? Shows what hypocrites you are - if it's not cuddly it doesn't count. Reminds me of when Spielberg killed that dinosaur.

I agree - I HATED the bear scene, because we all know that Circus bears suffer and are in a lot of pain - they belong in the wild, free and should never ever be imprisoned, spending their lives doing silly, stupid tricks to please ignorant people.

I was surprised by the animal cruelty and was wondering how much was staged; surely there are a lot of rules regarding the treatment of animals in film?

i raised my eyebrows when the peacock got kicked, but the scene with the bear was hard for me to watch. i could have done without that being in the film.

I knew as soon as I saw the peacock thing, all the nasty, planned parenthood supporting, tree hugging, vagina hat wearing SJW would be all butthurt. lol!!!

So training dogs to do tricks is OK, but not a bear? You don't know the bear is mistreated.

Kicking a peacock? Was the peacock harmed? No. Did it care it was kicked...no 'cos its a fricking peacock.

You can be a mean critic of the film if you want, but why not pick a cause that is not bollox?

"I'll hit you with so many rights you'll be begging for a left."

If you had watched to the very end of the credits you would have seen that they stated that no animals were harmed or mistreated during the filming. This just reminds me of all the controversy recently when PETA produced a video from the filming of A Dog's Purpose which has now been proven to have been severely edited. If any animals had actually been harmed this film would not have received the plaudits that it did. And, as was stated above, we're pretty blase about animals in general being trained to do or react in certain ways for our cinematic enjoyment.
Next you'll be saying that it's shocking that children were allowed to starve in every adaptation that's every been made of Oliver :D

Now, this little procedure is called "making a head on a stick". Because once your spine's shattered
